Science terms
Earth’s Crust Chapter 8
• Crust – is the thin layer of solid rock that makes up Earth’s outer most layers.
• Mantle – a hot thick layer of solid and partly melted rock.
• Outer Core – a dense hot region that is made up mostly of liquid iron and some nickel.
• Inner Core – a large ball of iron and nickel.
• Plate Tectonics – from these new observations, and the previous observation made by Wegener, the theory.
• Continental Crust – the part of Earth’s crust that has continents on them.
• Oceanic Crust – the parts that have only oceans floor on them.

Sci - World volcano and eathquake map
This was assigned last week and should be done by Wed. Nov. 18th. Students are putting locations of major earthquakes and volcanoes on a map.
Math Chapter 2 Review
We are approaching the chapter two test. Students have been working on the review from page 79-80. They should do at least one question from each section then check their answers in the back of the book. If they get it wrong hey should do a second question from that section before moving on to the next section. Time was given in class. Due Tuesday Nov. 17th
Language Arts Dust Ch17
For this chapter summary students should concentrate on writing what they think is going on and finding evidence in the book to support it. Sentence structures should include compound sentences that use connector words like 'because', 'so', 'but'.
